Always passionate about nautical furnishings, Gio Ponti gained direct experience in four ocean liners and two cruise ships upgraded or built from scratch after the war, between 1949 and 1951: the Conte Grande, Africa, Oceania, Conte Biancamano, Andrea Doria and Giulio Cesare. Ponti designed this easy chair with slight variants for these ships.

Given the breath of range and the customisation options available on a number of our items, holding stock is not an option beyond our best sellers. As a high proportion of our collections are made overseas, there are varying lead times depending on production times, country of origin, shipping, seasonality, and other factors outside of our control.
